2020 Virtual Pinewood Derby

Our Champions Class Race will allow all Cub Scouts to race. Awards will be given to 1st thru 3rd place based on EACH RANK.  Design Class is open to all Pinewood Derby participants (this includes all Scouts, siblings and adults) 


Champions Class:  Is open to all Cub Scouts from each pack.  The Champions Race will divide the Scouts into their respective RANKS.  Lions will race Lions, Tigers will race Tigers, Wolves will race Wolves, Bears will race Bears, Webelos 1 will race Webelos 1 and Webelos 2 will race Webelos 2. 

Design Class:   This class open to any eligible participant. (all Scouts, siblings and adults).  These cars must be registered and ready to be voted on no later than 10:45 am on race day. 

Outlaw Class: Open to all adults, siblings and older Scouts.  


All cars must meet car specifications and eligibility requirements as per Blue Grass Council Official Pinewood Derby Racing Specifications and Rules (Rev(01-16) - see attached sheet).  Absolutely no kit cars other than BSA Official Pinewood Derby kit cars be allowed to race.


$10.00 Per Car



1) You can drop off your car, registration form and payment at the Council Service Center during regular business hours Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.  This is drop off and registration only. No car inspections.

2) You can bring your car, registration form and payment to the Scout Shop on one of the following Saturday dates during their regular business hours of 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Volunteers will be conducting car inspections on these days only. 
Saturdays: September 26
th, October 10th, October 24th

3) Mail in your car, registration form and payment to the Council Service Center, 2134 Nicholasville Road, Suite 3, Lexington, KY  40503.


Please note: After the virtual race has been held, the cars will come back to the Council Service Center and can be picked up there during regular business hours. No cars will be mailed back. You can choose to have your car donated for a charity run to be held at a later date.
